Main offences

  • Section 8(1) - previously s15 which states that employers need to take care for the health & safety of employees.
  • Section 8(2) - previously s16 which states that employers need to take care for the health & safety of non-employees. (ie. contractors and the general public)
  • Section 20 - previously s19 which states that employees need to take care of the health & safety of each other.
  • Section 26 - previously s50 which states that directors and persons concerned in management are deemed to be guilty of the same offence as the corporation.
    (First offence $55,000 maximum, subsequent offences $82,500 maximum.)
