Successful Occupational Health Safety involves prevention. One very effective form of prevention of diseases involves immunisation.

This may be against:

• tetanus
• hepatitius A
• hepatitis B
• influenza

Some workplaces are in a high risk bracket, where immunisation will decrease unnecessary morbidity and loss of workers due to sickness.
e.g. immunisation needs to be done on sewerage plant workers for hepititus.
